March with Pride with HAF
Heritage of Pride March 2012 – Sunday, June 24, 2012
HAF will “share the love” with the largest, most youthful and colorful contingent at Gay Pride NYC. Join us as we “strut our stuff” down Fifth Avenue with an award winning sound system playing the tunes of Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Glee Cast, Usher, Chris Brown and many other favorites. Love yourself…compartélo, by donning your best outfit and most creative expression of your gay pride. Expect over 200 other LGBTQ Latinos to join our LOUD, PROUD, QUEER contingent. HAF will provide T-shirts designed for the occasion to those who wear white bottoms and join us in the March. As customary, HAF will have a float, many marchers in carnival-like costumes and lost and lots of gay people.
Our group is part of the 1st marching section and will assemble sharply at 11Am on East 40th Street, between 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue. Look for the huge quilt of all the Latin American Flags. East 40th Street (between 5th Ave & Madison Ave), Manhattan
HINT: The best way to get to East 40th and Fifth Avenue on the day of the march is to approach it from the east or the north. Most approaches from the west and south will be blocked, forcing one to have to walk in circles to get to it.
